Immersion of a preheated workpiece in the fluidized powder is the fastest and most effective way of surface protection (coating). It is used in many different workpieces in terms of sizes, thicknesses, and geometry – there is no restriction. The items are preheated in the oven to 180-320°C. Then the powder is immersed, which is fluidized. The whole immersion process lasts from 5-20 seconds, depending on the size of the pieces and the properties of the powder. Then the pieces cool down and are ready. The pretreatment of a workpiece before the warm-up is the same as that of powder coating and liquid painting, i.e. through shot blasting, chemical pretreatment, or a combination of the two. Almost all metals such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, and various alloys utilize this method.
